Long time gone

In the time since I last wrote, many things have happened in my life that have hit me hard. Harlee and I have gone through some rough changes and I thought I was starting to do okay. Recently, however, I have noticed underlying wounds starting to surface and I thought maybe a good way to cope would be to write about it. Maybe there are more women out there who can relate to what I'm going through. Maybe some of my feelings and experiences will resonate with someone else who needs to know they are not alone in their struggles. I realize there are maybe, MAYBE two people who USE to read this blog. But sometimes I find random blog posts on the internet that touch my spirit. So here we go... again.

Update

I haven't blogged in like, years! HA. Not much is going on. I mean, summer festivities are in full swing, which I love! I'm sad to be missing out on country Jam this year with my best friend. But I'm happy that the reason I'm missing it is because my dear brother in law has found a great lil' gal to marry and have an adorable family with.
Harlee is 3 and she is giving me a run for my money. I love her to death but she is so darn stubborn and opinionated, and she doesn't mind. Every day is power battle.
Jeremy has taken the summer off school because him and I both needed a break. We have lot's of fun stuff planned for the summer including our 7th wedding anniversary. WOW. That rocks!
I am also going to the doctor this month to see if he can't help us add a member to our family. I'm finally completely ready for a new baby. And I feel like I need to get things going because I don't want to lose my chance.
So that is about it really. Nothing new really, just living the life. Oh! I was sick like death for about a week and a half... I'm finally feeling better now but my right ear has been plugged up for about 4 days. NOT FUN! Ok. I think that really is all. Have a good one my peeps.... if there are any of you left reading this. Ha ha ha.

A Couple Things

FIRST: I have an amazing husband. I'm not JUST saying that because I'm biased, he is genuinely one of the greatest people I have EVER met in my life. I am so LUCKY to have him. NO, I'm not even lucky, I'm SO BLESSED!!! I love you so very much Jeremy!!

SECOND: My baby girl turned 3 on the 30th of December and today was her first day in PRIMARY as a SUNBEAM. I am just so proud of her. She is so big and smart. A little bit of a handful at times... but so dang cute. I love her guts!

And just on an end note. I have an old/ new friend that I feel is also a blessing in my life at this time.  Thank goodness for friends!

Dreams do Come true!

In 5 days I will be going to see THE JUDDS!!! This will be the last time they will be touring together and I will have the privilege of being there. Sadly I had to choose someone to take with me. I say sadly not because of the "take" part but because of the "choose" part. I wish I could take so many people with me. But I didn't have the money for it. So I decided that when I think about my past and The Judds there is one person who comes to mind more than the others. . . my little sister Cassie. We are so excited!!! I have wanted this for so long and now I get to go see the group that shaped me so much in my love of music and singing. YAY!!! I will be sure to post about it. Woot woot!

Harlee is getting way to smart for her own good. . . or mine. Ha ha. She is just growing so fast. The story that I want to tell is short but I have to give you some back info. My sister Cassie, (who is arguably Harlee's favorite aunt) has been wearing Pajama shirts that have the collars cut out so they hang off her shoulder 80's style.
So we were at my mom's house the other day and I was getting Harlee ready for the day. She had on a black tank top with a cute plaid shirt over it. While I was doing her hair she pulled the top shirt off her shoulder and said " I want to wear it like this."
I proceeded to explain to her that we need to be modest and that means we don't show our shoulders like that. (Probably a mixed signal on my part considering I do let her wear tank tops sans over shirts in the summer.) As I pulled her shirt back up over her shoulder she looked at Cassie, sitting on the couch with her pajama shirt on, and says....
"But Cassie does it ALL THE TIME!"
Cassie and I looked at each other and laughed as Cassie pulled her shirt up over her shoulder.
Like I said, way too smart for her own good. I love my girl! Speaking of whom, she is calling now so I'm out. Have a good one people! :)

I'm still here... I think O.o

So much has been going on! Went to country jam, attended a family reunion (including a big dead tree in BFE, wave runners at the dam, Bear Lake, shooting guns, fishing, good food, spiders, Chinese auction, and awesome family!) , weddings, FREE WYNONNA CONCERT, free chiropractic exam, the beginning of my journey to being a smaller person, and our 6th anniversary!! It's been a busy summer already and it's not over. There are still a few more trips to bear lake planned, my sister is coming home from her mission in 3 weeks, Jeremy's birthday is in a few days, stuff for activity days, attempting to get the house clean after all the fun, and who knows what else. How is the summer going for all of you? I hope well! thought I'd do a quick catch up. Harlee is growing up so fast! I adore her! There you have it folks. I've posted now we'll see if anyone is still reading. If you are.... get a life! JUST KIDDING!!! Thanks so much for sticking around and checking in. God bless!
